The Intel Celeron 300Mhz, with 66Mhz FSB. The very first Celeron microprocessor, codenamed Covington. Used on my first PC.
The rather small fan. The Celeron was a low-cost version of the famous Pentium IIs.
The back. At that time, Intel processors didn’t have their cache on die, but was on the same circuit board as the CPU core. Hence these processors used to fit in PCI-like slots, the Slot 1.
Manufactured in Costa Rica.
This processor was used for nearly 6 years, running on only one OS – Windows 98.
