Planes

Shot last Sunday at the runway of SSR airport…

But, before that, while going to the airport, I saw this. A sugarcane truck overturned at a roundabout. The Jin Fei roundabout on the M1 is another one where a similar disaster is waiting to happen…

Back to the airport, it’s easy to get access to the runway by turning left at the Plaine Magnien roundabout.

& you’ll get an unrestricted view of the runway.

The usual signs & warnings. Glad I’m no a trepasser, just a camera-owner.

Apparently, I wasn’t the only one looking for flying machines. Two of Air Mauritius’ planes could be seen in the hangar.

Fortunately, I didn’t have to wait too long before a plane arrived…

Two minutes later, another plane was already taxiing on the runway for take-off. Due to the runway being closed for repairs at night, traffic is very busy during the day.

… & it’s gone.

Here’s the video of the take-off.

On the first photo there is a small cage before the Condor. Is it used to keep the condor chicks just after hatching?

Indeed, it took me a while before I realised it's no cage, but a bird trap, to keep them off the runway. :)
