If there wasn't that yellow smoke coming out of the chimney of Fort George's power station, you would think the first picture was a black and white photograph.
I still remember that, I had never before seen Port Louis so dark during the day.
Nice shot. I quite like it when a colour photograh starts to look like a black and white one. (Another example
here.) And the shiny handrail just adds to it.
Thank God the wind wasn't blowing from the NE on that day: the yellow smoke would have come straight at you.

Incidentally, what were these people doing in a canoe in the harbour? (It looks like a Polynesian or a Melanesian canoe.)
